Badminton Is Our Passion

Everyone needs a hobby to relax and enjoy life, and for many students, badminton is the prefect choice. It can be played indoor or outdoo, in singles or doubles, making it flexible and enjoyable sport for everyone.

For Go Boon Keat, badminton has been an important part of the life since the age of ten. “I enjoy badminton because it keeps me healthy and active.Running, jumping, and hitting the shutterlecock improves my stamina, reflexes, and coordination. It also helps me release stress after a busy day at school,” he shared. On weekends, he often plays with friends at the local sports complex, where they organise friendly matches that teach teamwork, discipline and sportmanship. He added, “ Badminton

strengthens my mind as well as my body. During matches, I have to think quickly, plan my shots, and adapt to my opponent’s moves, which improves my focus and decision-making skills”.

Lew Yun Seng agrees that badminton is both thrilling and challenging.” At first it looks easy because you just have to hit the shuttlecock over the net, but when you play, you see it’s much harder than you thought,” he explained. “The shuttle moves very fast, so you need quick hands, good balance, and fast reactions. Every shot counts because the game can change in just one hit”. Yun Seng also loves playing in tournaments. “I enjoy every shot, whether it’s a smash or a drop, and I love the feeling when I win medals. Playing gives me energy and makes me proud, especially when I see how much I’ve improved”.
