Wembley’s March Newsletter
Marching Practices
it was the start of the school holiday and I woke up to be ready for our school training. After entering my school, I was expecting groups of students to come but there were only a few around. The training started with a simple march. We learned a few instructions of command such as at rest, at ease, left or right turning, salute, attention and fall in. At rest is putting our hands at the top of our back and ease is where we put our hands at the bottom of our back. For left or right turns we have to do it with perfect timing as we have to turn left or right followed by stomping with our right leg. Regarding the salute, we have to move our hand up in front of our forehead and greet the audience. The experiences for our training were tiring but the experiences would help us be ready to march well on sports day.
