Wembley’s July Newsletter

Mario Fun Run

First of all, I would like to thank the organizers for hosting this event. The event was called the Mario Fun Run. The event was held on the 19th of July, 2024, at Bukit Jalil. As mentioned, there was time to eat, so I had a loaf of bread and drank a packet of Milo. I spent most of the time with my friends; we helped the teachers to carry the bags while others participated in the games.

It rained in the early morning but eventually stopped. After the rain, the event started at 8 a.m. From 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., there was a briefing. Once the briefing was over, we went straight to play one of the games called Basketball Hoop.

Next was the scavenger hunt, where participants had to find buildings using given clues and features. Then, we had our last two games, but it suddenly started to rain for at least 30 minutes. We continued with our last two games, named Ball in the Cup and Blindfolded Dodgeball after the rain. In these two games, our team Citrine won first place. The event ended at 11:30 a.m., and we were all tired from the games. We felt happy and grateful for the school’s efforts. We would like to give a big shout-out to Wembley Academy, Wembley International School, and the landowner.
