Wembley Academy’s January Newsletter

Stepping Into A New School

January 12 was my first day of school. I felt a little nervous but also excited. I wore my new uniform and shoes and was ready to go to school. When I arrived, I met a school administrator who was very kind and helpful. He guided me to my classroom, which made me feel more comfortable on my first day.

In my classroom, I saw colourful chairs, and I chose a white chair. I also met my new teacher, who was very kind and friendly, which made me feel more comfortable. After that, we had an assembly. Later, we chose the class monitors for our class and also for Year 8.

During lunchtime, there were various food choices such as mixed rice, Western-style food, and Eastern-style food. I chose mixed rice for my lunch. The food was nutritious and suitable for students. After lunch, we had a sports house meeting to discuss Sports Day, and then school ended.

In conclusion, I am very happy to be a student at Wembley Academy. My first day was a meaningful and enjoyable experience that helped me feel more confident and comfortable in my new school. I am thankful for the kind teachers and helpful staff who made my first day easier. I hope to adapt well to the school environment, build strong friendships, study hard, and take part actively in school activities. I look forward to learning new things and enjoying this precious school life in the years ahead.
