Hard Knock and Escape Room
It was a beautiful Friday morning. I got ready and happily went to school. It was FIELD TRIP DAY! I was going for option B which meant I was going to Hard Knock and Escape Room. I arrived at school and saw my friends waiting so I went to them and talked while we waited to depart. My teacher said that we would depart at 9:00 but we had a slight delay because we had to wait for a few more students.
After we departed our destination was Hard Knock located at Royal Selangor. It was my first time going to Hard Knock so I was pretty excited about it. We went on a tour to learn the histories of “pewter” and we even had the opportunity to drink out of a pewter cup. As soon as we were done with the tour we had a chance to make our bowls with our names engraved on them.
Soon after we took a break some were eating, some were buying souvenirs and some were just sitting while we waited for the bus. The bus arrived at 12:30 and we headed to KL where the escape room was located and we ate lunch there. We arrived at KL around 12:45 and were given an hour for our lunch at McDonald’s. We each received a burger, fries, and a cup of soda. After we finished our food and had our toilet break, we set foot for the escape room at 2.30pm.
I was really excited about this because this was my first time going to an escape room, we were split into groups of four. My team members were Ms. Shla, Ashley, Chyip, my brother Joseph, Abdulah, and myself. The theme of our escape room was horror and there were a few character roleplays to be decided. After we finished deciding, we placed our bags in a locker and went into our room. Before we started, we had to listen to a few rules and a story about that room. Just as we started we were scared by a baby doll’s head. It was quite difficult at first but after we solved the mystery, it was really a piece of cake. We were at our last stage but we did not quite get the mystery and so we failed to escape to the room in time.
In the blink of an eye, the day was over. We went on the bus and went back to our school and waited for our parents to arrive to bring us home. It was a really good experience and I hope to go on another field trip in the future.
