Drama Audition
A few months ago, some year 10 students, myself included, signed up for the drama audition. On the day of the audition, we gathered in a small room and were given scripts to act out. The room was filled with loud readings of dialogue and voice impressions. It was hectic. After practising for a while, we went into the audition room one by one to recite our lines and showcase our talents.
Right when we thought it was over, Ms. Geetha came into the room with a list of names in her hands. The people listed had to prepare a song to sing. Once again, we went into the room and we sang, but this time it wasn’t one by one: it was three at once. That day was a very life-changing experience for me since I had never gotten the chance to do something like this before.
The drama training was also fun and engaging. We went to school during the holidays to sharpen our acting skills. Our drama teacher, Ms. Carmen, guided us to practise our lines in five different emotions. Our drama roles were soon distributed within a few days, and the whole Alice in Wonderland cast went through the script together.
